I have built up a client base throughout my training where I have received very positive feedback from all clients on the difference each treatment has made. These testimonials can be viewed on my website.
Each treatment begins with a full static and dynamic assessment of the horse which may include a walk/trot up and/or assessing the horse being ridden/lunged. Following this, the horse’s current and previous issues (if any) will be discussed along with any exercise plans or recovery programmes you may be following.
My specialty is sports massage, however, should your horse not withstand the pressure whether this be through nervousness or pain, I also offer a relaxation routine as either part of or in place of a sports massage. You may even wish to have a relaxation treatment as a treat to your horse or have an old horse who really doesn’t require a deep tissue massage. I adapt all treatments to suit the individual horse - which is why time spent to ensure that each session is bespoke and tailored to suit.
So, you may be asking yourself, does my horse need a massage and what will he achieve? The answer will most likely be yes. Equine massage is not only for the high performing competition horse, the tiny and retired companion Shetland is also a perfect client, if anything, the one who requires it most. From increasing circulation and improving posture to a healthier coat and lymphatic flow, equine massage assists with it all. Older horses who may be dippy backed benefit greatly from a treatment as it is the main therapy to help strengthen and lift those core muscles which support the horse and protect vital organs.
Should follow up visits for equine massage in Cannock be put in place to treat a specifically tight and sore area, any treatment carried out will be bi-lateral, I never treat just one side as I see it just as important to keep treatments symmetrical to prevent the horse becoming one sided.
Following treatments, I offer aftercare advice, exercises to benefit with stretches carried out and demonstrated for owners to perform in between treatments to help with the general maintenance of the muscles.
Covering a 12-mile radius of Cannock, I am happy to travel outside of this area where there may be a large group at one time, further details available on request. For more information, please contact me via my Facebook business page, email or phone. Should I not be able to answer, I will return your call as soon as possible if a voice message with your name and number is left.
